I would have to say the one positive change that I have made to my life that has had the biggest effect is dropping the use of taking drugs via needles. I cannot stress enough the roulette of using needles to get your highs, kicks, laughs, or floating of one’s boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It makes you feel dirty. You feel ashamed doing it. You want to stop doing it but you simply can’t stop yourself, the compulsion and withdrawal commanding you to do it. You wear long-sleeved t-shirts to hide it, and you even inject your leg muscles. Hit a vein and the wrong dose and your out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stopping that was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do in my life. Smoking wasn’t that hard after that but then I switched to vaping and now I need to stop that as well. Back to the point. I stopped because I would lose the love of my life to drugs, and I would lose my children. I would become more of a slave and that all scared me to death. I threw everything away (safely) and start anew. The colour returned to my skin, and my weight increased which was a little scary but yes. It was most definitely a turning point and a highly positive change.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
