Well, my parents come from different countries. My Mum was Dutch and my Dad was Scottish. Both had diferent hertitages as you can imagine. The Scottish side I was more intersted in, especially the food side of things. My Granny used to cook some beautiful tripe with all the trimmings. Then there is haggis which I love. Me and my Dad discovered a chip selling it fried. It was awesome, granted this was over 20 years ago when I was going up to Scotland every other month. But yeah it opened my eyes to different food and peoples preconcived opinions on the scottish way of food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dutch side was also mixed with some suranese elements so nasi goreng, meat balls, salmon salad, little pancakes. All sorts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
