Digging deeper #2

Okay so let’s try and keep the momentum going with this. Who knows maybe I will make some amazingly magick connection with my soul?

On a scale of 1-10, how much do you love yourself? Why did you give this score?
Am I the only one who thinks if you put a ten it would make you a conceited person? or maybe a free person, someone who has thrown off the shackles of self-doubt and opened themselves to this love. I won’t be predictable. I’ll give myself a 2. Which from a narcissistic, self-loathing, and generally annoying person is quite a reasonable score. You know what? 3. I’ll give myself a 3. Only because I provide some use to looking after the kids, and the dogs and superficially cleaning the house. But I avoid mirrors like the plague. Unless I’m shaving but then you don’t generally stare at your own eyes in the mirror. That behavior is for the true psychopaths who walk amongst us.

Is it 10/10? If not, how can you achieve a 10/10 self-love?
We can achieve it by taking fantastic amounts of magic mushrooms, prancing around naked, and all being kindred spirits. Granted this would only work if everyone is on the shrooms but alas I can’t see the kings & queens, prime ministers, etc allowing this as it would abolish their roles.

A serious answer? If I could switch off the eupd, anxiety, and stupid STUPID thoughts and ideas I have I would be a lot closer to 10 than 3. If I could learn more coping strategies, more education, and targeted medication then I think that would work. Also the gym. Go and visit that place a few times a week and drop the weight.

What is your ideal self? What qualities does he/she have?
Kindness, understanding, love for everything, patience, and forgiveness.

How can you be more like your ideal self?
By actually doing the qualities listed one step at a time. I’m a to-do list guy. If it needs to be done, then it needs to be on paper. D isn’t. This creates problems as my memory isn’t the best.

Look at your life now. On a scale of 1-10, how happy are you with your life? Why did you give this score?
5. Kids and D. That’s all that I have going, to be honest. They are the half of my half-life that I live to be happy. The other 5. It isn’t time for that yet.

How can you increase your happiness level?
Dopamine. Lots of it. Thought I would get some from walking the dogs 4 times but guess they need to be long walks. Random acts of kindness if I wasn’t so socially awkward would be nice

If you had a year left to live, what would you do?
Kids & D

If you only had a week left to live, what would you do?
Kids & D

If you only had a day left to live, what would you do?
Kids & D

If you only had a minute left to live, what would you do?
Kids & D

  1. Those “scale” questions are always dumb to me, lol. How does loving yourself at a 5 feel? What do you have to feel like to be at a 6? Is loving yourself at a 1 just saying “at least I won’t kill myself”? It’s a yes or no question, really.

It’s like people who put those progress bars on resumes. “Graphic design” with a half-filled bar. So you’re half way to knowing everything there is and ever will be known about graphic design? 😅

    I think too much. 🤪

    • Haha, I like your thinking. So how are we feeling out of a score of 1 to 10 vs how are we feeling between wielding an axe to throwing it at someone? At least the second one is useful.
