A picture paints a thousand words #4

So this is a photo from B’s baptism a long time ago, 2013 I think. D, M, and B are in the foreground, and my mum and dad are in the back. It’s an important photo for me as it reminds me why I’m here, why I should still be here, and that I love everything this photo shows.

Sort of.

My mum died in 2014 followed by my dad in 2018. Upon the death of my mum, it turned out she was doing some serious narcissistic work on the family. For example, not telling people that her cancer was terminal except for me. I thought they knew. Turns out nope. Which really devastated their lives because of the shock.

There are several things like these. As well as from my dad. I like to hope that when I die I won’t have any hidden stuff. Maybe my thoughts but that’s about it.

But at that moment. She was my mum as I remember her. Just being a grandmother and being happy. All other stuff paused.
