So I think I will do the short story idea with the list of topics I posted earlier. Not long. Maybe a paragraph on each which should be suitably tricky. Plus hopefully, then you’re not reading for ages so I won’t lose any followers!
Today has been the worst. I had quite an intensive physiotherapy yesterday so everything now hurting like hell. I’ll work through it, only one way to get better, and getting off my lazy bum is the beginning, They’ve booked me on Mondays and Wednesdays now, with a sheet or two of homework too. Not used to walking with two sticks so they are trying to teach me that.
Today I and Dobby went on a mission to the vet this morning, in the mist and drizzle. Well no. If I was normal then yes, I had to get an Uber allowing pets to come to collect us and drop us off again. The good news, she isn’t going to die or need surgery. But the ball and socket on her right hip is really worn out so she’s been diagnosed with Early Onset Arthritis and Hip Dysplasia. She’s not allowed off the lead anymore nor made to dance around on her two legs as it will all hurt her badly later on.
So yes, we got the Uber back to the house, and I thought I would try walking her in the little green space opposite the house. My back started spasmising so we rushed inside so I could sit down. Open the door and pure carnage. Nina managed to drag out and eat a loaf of bread and a pack of crackers from the kitchen countertop. She dragged them. Ate them. Chewed some. Ran around on top of them to *really* get it into the carpet. Kicked Nina and Dobby out and the clean-up began. Managed to pick up everything, get the hoover out, and made sure everywhere was clean. I was stumbling and tripping over everything but the worst, was my back, like some little bastard was stabbing me in my lower spine. After letting them back in. I just sat on the sofa unable to move for an hour.
Nina is still not in the good books. D gave her some dinner since I refused to due to the amount of crap she had eaten before. But ok. Can’t starve the dog as punishment. I should have hidden the crackers and secured the bin.
Onto typing stories! should not be a problem given issues with daydreaming and missing time. Again. That driver’s license seems to be getting further and further away.
