Mindset

So for the second time today, I was so tired that I fell asleep in my chair. Gaming chair. Whatever you want call it. It was around 11.30am, and I started this post, I blinked and fell asleep. I wanted to stay up as I need to get a few more posts scheduled on [Busy Bee Tech] but anyway, matters not as I’m awake now.

Over the past week, occupational health has been adding all sorts of things into the house to make getting around easier. They’ve also gotten in touch with the letting agency to ask permission to install a new rail going upstairs as well as a few grab bars in a few places. I now have three walking sticks. Two to move around downstairs and the garden and one for upstairs as I can’t carry one up with me. I have a bath slide thing to help me get into the shower and a couple of other things. They will be coming back every couple of days to start exercising regime to get me back in strength.

Problem. Yes, there is always a problem that comes up. My hip is killing me. Whenever I try and stand up it takes all my strength just to stand up. Literally every muscle in my body is needed. I’ve fallen onto my knees a couple of times but no one saw me, and I’ve had the worst headaches recently. I haven’t banged my head or anything. I’m having issues getting to the bathroom on time which is really embarrassing. I’ve managed to hide most of this from D and the therapists as I don’t know how to tell them that. I also need an oxygen machine as I can’t control my breathing properly. I’ll ask them about this on Monday. In the meantime, a machine, which D kindly bought, will be arriving tomorrow which should help.

I’ll get there, just give me time.
